Jon, You are a great writer. I enjoyed your musings on your weekend. Made me laugh, and get teary-eyed. So glad you boys have kept in touch. God bless you! Love you, Mary J.

Blast of a trip. You guys are awesome. We did buy that crack house, by the way. As motivated business thinkers, untainted by narcotics, I think we'll be able to move way more crack through that place now.

We've been here for over 5 years now, and still don't understand the intensity of the football religion. And we're from Georgia--right next door.

LOVE it! This was the recent topic at our dinner table. Gary and I were visiting with a sweet friend and we talked about these verses and discussed the ways to effectively pass this truth on to our children without teaching a legalistic view of salvation. We all concluded that it is really not difficult to do 1. if you model it daily before them and 2. if you use God's own words to describe what He has done for us. We also recognized that in every relationship doing things well and showing extravagant love and appreciation are a joy if the relationship is a healthy one filled with love and admiration. It's kind of like taking a glass of tea to your spouse. I do it because I love to do things for him...not because it will change my marital status. :)
